每個人都擁有獨特的天賦,當找到個人的興趣,並全心全意投入所喜愛的領域時,就能發現無限的可能性。蔡鐘慶老師深刻指出,充分發揮個人的「興趣」與「天賦」,是實現更多潛力、拓展人生版圖的關鍵。若學生能細心呵護並善用這份天賦和興趣,將成為他們努力奮進的強大工具。
Everyone is gifted with unique talents; when one finds their personal interests and devotes wholeheartedly to their preferred fields, one can then discover infinite possibilities. Professor Tsai pointed out profoundly that the key to realizing more potential and expanding the horizon of life is by fully developing one’s personal “interests” and “talents.” These talents and interests will become powerful tools for students during their endeavors and advancement if cherished and used properly.
共創共榮,小而美的大家庭
蔡鐘慶老師表示,以「小而美」來形容財法系師生之間的緊密關係再適合不過,由於系學生會修到大部分老師開授的課程,因此每位學生都能有機會跟老師交流互動,建立深厚的關係。蔡老師分享財法系的老師不管在課業詢問、國際交流,以及未來生涯規劃方面,都能真誠地給予學生們建議,學生也能參考多位師長的意見,不論是否為自己的導生,大家都像一個彼此照應的大家庭,蔡老師自己本身也受到很多資深老師的照顧與鼓勵。
Creating and Prospering Together, a Small yet Beautiful Big Family
Professor Tsai indicated that it is perfect describing the close connection between the students and the professors of the Department of Financial & Economic Law as “small yet beautiful”, as students in the department will participate in the courses given by a majority of the professors, hence each student will have the opportunity to interact and communicate with the professors, thereby establishing a strong and deep relationship. Professor Tsai shared that the professors in the Department of Financial & Economic Law are truly dedicated to giving students advice regarding academic inquiries, international exchanges, as well as future career planning, while the students can also seek advice from many mentors even if they are not assigned as their advisors. Everyone looks out for each other like a big family, and Professor Tsai himself also received much care and encouragement from many senior professors in the department.
法學之橋,同心搭建
「法律服務社」在系上是一項極為重要的服務活動,其中很重要的一部分是透過法治教育的推廣教導小學生建立基本的法治概念。蔡鐘慶老師分享先前與同事指導法律服務社前往基隆港西國小法治教育宣導的經驗,由於參與該次活動剛好多位同學是蔡老師的導生,讓這項活動也如同一場班級的同樂會,除了提供同學們良好學習的機會,更增進彼此同窗情誼。
財法系法律服務社秉持著學校全人教育的理念,不僅成功達到法治教育的推廣,也實現當初設立的初衷。蔡鐘慶老師表示,看見學生在社團服務期間的認真,大家聚在一起分享服務心得、談天說笑互動的場景令人感動。學生在教導小朋友專業法律知識所獲得的成就感,或是交流中得到支持的能量,相信都成為了他們難忘的成長經驗,對於學生來說,這不僅僅是一次活動,更是拉近彼此距離並共同成長的寶貴學習機會。
The Bridge of Law is Built with Shared Hearts
“Legal Services Society” is an extremely important service activity within the department, where a significant part of it is teaching elementary school students the fundamental concepts of law through the promotion of legal education. Professor Tsai shared his experience of guiding the Legal Services Society together with colleagues for the promotion of legal education at Keelung Gang-Si Elementary School. Since many of the participating students were trainees of Teacher Tsai, which made the event feel like a class gathering, offering students a valuable learning opportunity, while also reinforcing the friendship between them.
The Legal Services Society of the Department of Financial & Economic Law persists in the university’s principle of holistic education, not only successfully accomplishing the promotion of legal education, but also fulfilling the intention since the establishment. Professor Tsai indicated that he was touched seeing the students devoting themselves to the services in the extracurricular activities and it was heartwarming how everyone gathered to share their service experiences while chatting, laughing and interacting happily. It is believed that the sense of accomplishment that the students gained from teaching young children professional legal knowledge or the supportive energy they received from the interactions have become an unforgettable growth experience for them. For the students, this is not merely an activity, but is further a valuable learning opportunity to come closer to each other and grow together.
啟發學子光芒,攜手共創未來
「投入班級經營,需要額外時間與全心付出的承擔。」蔡鐘慶老師分享透過參與校內講座吸取優秀導師的經驗,不斷檢視自己在輔導學生方面的成效,追求更進一步的突破。他也分享自己最大的動力是來自學生的反饋,除了大學部導生們的貼心,有問題時也會主動來跟老師請益,師生之間從大一即保持著良好的互動與情誼,也特別提到一位碩士班學生的故事。
這位學生是蔡老師指導的碩士生,在選擇中原法學院與美國賓州州立大學法學院「碩碩」雙聯學位時,蔡老師除了提供相關申請資訊、學校特色、校內資源的支持及未來生涯規劃等建議,鼓勵學生成功申請赴美深造取得國外碩士。在國外學習的一年,學生也與蔡老師保持密切聯繫,彼此關心,回國後亦順利取得本校碩士學位,獲得不錯的工作機會。蔡老師強調,當學生能夠信任導師並相信自身的潛力而有所發揮時,他覺得所付出的努力都是值得的。
在談話的尾聲,蔡老師充滿信心地表達,學生找到心中最熱愛的事物,並善用學校所提供多元的資源時,他相信學生將能夠發現自己的興趣與熱情,並在學業與生活中綻放屬於自己的光芒。他熱切期盼與學生攜手相互支持、共同努力,讓每一位學子都能在校園中茁壯成長,這既是對學生的深切關懷,也是對他們未來的期許。
Inspiring the brilliance of the Students, Creating the Future Together
“Additional time commitment and wholehearted devotion are required for investing in class management.”Professor Tsai shared that he constantly reviews the effectiveness of guiding the students through participating in on-campus lectures to attain experiences from outstanding mentors, thereby striving harder for further breakthroughs. He also shared that the greatest motivation for him comes from the feedback of the students. Other than the thoughtful nature of his undergraduate trainees, who would actively seek advice when encountering problems, hence the interaction and friendship between teachers and students have been maintained since freshman year. He particularly mentioned a story about a student from the master’s degree program whom he mentored. When this student pursued a “master-master” dual-degree program at the School of Law, Chung Yuan Christian University and the Law School at Pennsylvania State University, Professor Tsai not only provided relevant information on application and school characteristics, but also support based on in-school resources, as well as advice on future career planning, which encouraged the student to successfully apply for further studies in the United States with the accomplishment of a master’s degree overseas. During the year of studying abroad, the student maintained close contact with Professor Tsai with mutual care. Upon returning to Taiwan, the student also successfully obtained a master’s degree from our university and further achieved excellent job opportunities. Professor Tsai emphasized that he felt all endeavors are worthwhile when students can make some accomplishments while trusting their mentors and believing in their own potential.
At the end of the conversation, Professor Tsai expressed confidently that when the students find what they are most passionate about while making good use of the diverse resources provided by the university, he believes that the students will discover their own interests and passions, as well as shine brightly in both academic and personal lives. He eagerly anticipates collaborating with the students, to support each other and to strive together, thereby allowing each student to thrive and grow on campus. This not only is his profound care towards the students, but also his expectation for their future.
