應用華語文學系的學生展現出多元的特質與活潑個性,這使得導師與學生的互動更為有趣。學生們的專長與興趣異彩紛呈,從中國文學的閱讀與寫作,到書法、樂器演奏、舞蹈表演,甚至投入戲劇創作,每位學生都以自己的方式展現出才華與熱情。

簡老師提到,應華系學生在課外活動中表現出高度的參與與投入。例如,應華之夜就是一個展現學生風采的年度盛事。從舞蹈表演到戲劇演出,讓人眼前一亮。為了活動準備道具、服裝、甚至舞台設計的用心程度,令人印象深刻。雖然過程中偶遇困難,但學生們總能以熱情克服,完成一場場精彩的演出。

在與學生互動的過程中,簡老師也發現學生們個性普遍開朗,並且熱愛生活。他們不僅在團體活動中展現默契與合作精神,私下也非常善於享受多彩的校園生活,導師也特別欣賞屬於每位同學的反差魅力。

導師全方位輔導:陪伴應華學子的成長

身為導師,不僅是學業上的引路人,更是學生的支持者和夥伴。因此,簡老師無論是學習規劃、職涯方向、還是個人挑戰,都提供貼心的關懷與協助。

簡老師為了更深入了解每位學生,導師安排小組討論及一對一對談,打造輕鬆的聊天空間,讓學生放心分享。像是透過介紹雅文基金會的聽口師就業學程、學長姊歷年來的經驗分享,皆能有益幫助學生發現不同的職涯可能,拓展未來選擇。此外,對於家族導師制度,簡老師靈活調整,將年級分組活動,促進年級間的交流。這樣的互動不僅縮短學年差距,也讓系內學習氣氛更活躍。因此,無論是生活中的迷茫還是家庭問題,簡老師認為都需要細心觀察並提供支持。這種溫暖的陪伴,讓學生在探索未來的路上,感受到滿滿的信心與力量。

導師的成長:從例行公事到深入陪伴

起初,簡老師認為導師工作是例行化的,如學期見面兩次的基礎安排,但接觸學生後發現,每位學生的學習背景與私人狀況截然不同,讓他逐漸感受到更多責任。不只透過形式上的關心,而是投入更多時間,透過群組交流和協助,了解學生的真正需求。學生給予正向的回饋,如感謝小卡片、評價及畢業後仍保持聯繫的情誼,都是最大的養分。這些經驗讓簡老師體會到,導師的角色不僅在輔導學生,也是一種雙向成長的旅程。

簡老師鼓勵學生在大學期間學會對自己負責。大學生活與過往學校型態不同,學生需要主動規劃學習與生活,而非隨波逐流或只專注於社團活動。更希望學生把握這關鍵的四到五年,增強自己的能力,為未來做好準備。最後,簡老師認為,導師的職責是以身作則,成為學生的榜樣,幫助在未來的職場中找到合適的定位與價值。簡老師深信,導師的付出或許無法立即看到成效,但長遠而言,能帶給學生深遠的影響。

Diversity and Vibrant Energy: The Unique Charm of Applied Mandarin Students

Students in the Department of Applied Mandarin demonstrate a wide range of traits and lively personalities, making interactions between mentors and students engaging and dynamic. Their talents and interests are remarkably diverse, spanning Chinese literature reading and writing, calligraphy, musical instrument performance, dance, and even drama creation. Each student showcases their abilities and passion in their unique way.

Professor Jian highlighted that Applied Mandarin students exhibit a high level of participation and dedication in extracurricular activities. The annual event, “Applied Mandarin Night,” is a prime example of their brilliance. From captivating dance performances to dramatic stage productions, the event is a true feast for the eyes. The students’ meticulous efforts in preparing props, costumes, and even stage design leave a lasting impression. Despite occasional challenges during the preparation process, their enthusiasm always helps them overcome difficulties and deliver spectacular performances.

Through interactions with students, Professor Jian also discovered that they are generally cheerful and full of zest for life. Not only do they exhibit great teamwork and cooperation in group activities, but they also enjoy a vibrant campus life outside of class. The professor appreciates the unique “contrasting charm” of each student, making every individual interaction special.

Comprehensive Guidance: Supporting the Growth of Applied Mandarin Students

As a mentor, Professor Jian views the role not just as an academic guide but also as a supporter and partner for students. Whether it involves academic planning, career direction, or personal challenges, the professor provides thoughtful care and assistance.

To gain deeper insights into each student, Professor Jian arranges small group discussions and one-on-one conversations in a relaxed setting, encouraging students to share openly. For instance, introducing employment programs at the Hearing and Speech Foundation or sharing alumni experiences has helped students discover diverse career possibilities and broaden their future options.

The professor also adapts the department’s family mentorship system by organizing activities that bring students from different years together, fostering inter-grade interaction. This approach not only narrows the gap between academic years but also creates a more dynamic learning atmosphere within the department. Professor Jian believes it is essential to observe students carefully and offer support for both life uncertainties and family-related challenges. Initially, Professor Jian considered mentoring to be routine work, involving basic semester meetings. However, interacting with students revealed their varied learning backgrounds and personal circumstances, awakening a greater sense of responsibility. Professor Jian urges students to take responsibility for themselves during their university years. Unlike the structured environment of earlier schooling, university life requires students to take the initiative in planning their learning and living. The professor advises students to avoid passively drifting or focusing solely on club activities and instead make the most of these critical four to five years to enhance their abilities and prepare for the future.

Lastly, Professor Jian believes that mentors should lead by example, serving as role models who help students find their place and value in the professional world. The professor firmly believes that while the impact of a mentor’s efforts may not be immediately visible, they can profoundly influence students in the long run.
