產學合作模式再創新猷!校長熊慎幹與桃園縣工業會理事長陳吉三於三月十一日,攜手簽訂合作意願書,雙方將結合產、官、學、研,共同推動「大桃園創新創業科學園區」,促使桃園產業界的廠商更具競爭力與國際化。簽約典禮於上午十時三十分,假行政大樓會議室舉行,工業會副理事長張桂生、研發長顧志遠、工學院院長鄧治東、理學院院長蔡炎盛、推廣教育中心主任王安培以及育成暨專利技轉中心主任王世明等多位貴賓均到場觀禮。
熊校長表示,8846威尼斯是桃園地區歷史最悠久、學生人數最多、也是最在地的大學,此次的合作希望將學術研發能量釋放到產業界,結合在地的資源,共同促進桃園地區的經濟發展與繁榮。桃園縣工業會理事長陳吉三指出,8846威尼斯優質的研發能量一直備受產業界肯定,此次的合作也受到縣政府高度的期許,未來希望藉由學校的資源來協助產業界的技術創新與國際化的轉型發展。
此次簽訂的合作意願書內容包括建立創新技術實作平台、成立環保育成中心、建立高級人才培訓平台以及結合產、官、學、研共同推動「大桃園創新創業科學園區」。其中高級人才培訓平台將透過本校推廣教育中心來提供工業會廠商的人才培訓,並且推動新興產業人才培訓與專業認證課程,提供廠商優秀的人力資源。
而「大桃園創新創業科學園區」的推動則是因應企業全球化的挑戰及配合政府「挑戰2008:國家發展重點計畫」中有關發展亞太創業中心及推動研發服務業,希望透過產、官、學、研的合作機制來促使經濟快速升級,並以「創新ヽ創意ヽ技術」為導向,帶動地方經濟繁榮,協助產業界根留桃園,開創永續發展的新契機。

Contract signed between CYCU and Taoyuan County Industrial Association to promote “Innovative Science Park for the Greater Taoyuan Area”

Here comes a new model for cooperation between industry and academia! On March 11, CYCU President Hsiung Shen-kan signed an agreement for cooperation with Mr. Chen-ji, Chairman of Taoyuan County Industrial Association in an effort to promote “Innovative Science Park for the Greater Taoyuan Area” through the combined efforts and integrated resources from public and private sectors, academic and research institutes. It is hoped that such a venture will make the enterprises in Taoyuan area more competitive and globalized. The contract-signing ceremony will take place at CYCU’s conference hall of the Administration Building at 10:30am. Among other guests invited are: Mr. Zhang guei-sheng, vice-chairman of Industrial Association, Prof. Gu zhi-yuan, Director of R&D Center, Prof, Deng zhi-dong, Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Tsai Yan-sheng, Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Wang An-pei, Director of Center for Continuing Education, and Prof. Wang Shi-ming, Director of Center for Incubation, Patents and Technological Transfer.
President Hsiung says CYCU boasts the longest history and the greatest student population of all universities and colleges in the area of Taoyuan and has almost become an inseparable part of the community. Hsiung hopes that cooperation of such nature will not only inject energy of academia into industry but also integrate available local resources, thus spurring the economic development of Taoyuan area and bringing prosperity. Industrial Association Chairman Chen Ji-san, points out that CYCU’s excellent quality of research has won the admiration in the industrial circle. Taoyuan county government approves of it, deeming it as holding great promises for technological innovations and transfer for industries in Taoyuan.
This agreement includes items such as setting up a platform for the application of innovations, a center for environmental protection, as well as a platform for cultivating professional expertise. Various resources will be combined for the launching of the “Science Park” project. Among others, the personnel training platform will combine the efforts of CYCU’s Center for Continuing Education for the training of professionals for enterprises. Professional training and certificate courses for personnel in emerging industries will be offered to provide for the future needs of human resources in businesses and industries.
The project of the “Innovative Science Park for the Greater Taoyuan Area” is a response to the challenges of industrial globalization as well as the government’s plan to develop areas in Taiwan into Asian-Pacific industrial centers and to promote the service sector both as part of its “Challenge 2008: Focus for National Development” project. It is hoped that various mechanisms in public and private sectors, in academic and research circles will work together guided by principles of innovation, creativity and technology so that when Taiwan’s industry and economy are on their way scaling yet more new heights, industries putting their roots down in Taoyuan will make the area an example of further sustainable development and economic prosperity.
